ECE Career Pathway Training Application

PURPOSE:

Please complete this form to share your interest in becoming qualified to work as an ECE Lead Teacher in child care programs, a substitute in licensed child care or beginning your journey in a career in early childhood education.

AVAILABLE COURSES INCLUDE:

Become a lead teacher, substitute, family child care provider:

Child Care Basics - a 30-hour course with 24 hours of virtual (Zoom) instruction and homework. You must complete all modules to obtain credit for this class.
CPR/ First Aid Bloodborne Pathogens (current certification)
Maintain your professional role as lead teacher, or move from assistant to lead teacher:
EQEL 1 - This is the beginning of the Initial Certificate Education Equivalency required for all Lead Teachers in ECE in Washington state. (10 hours)
EQEL 2 - Completion of the course. (10 Hours)
PACE - Provider Access to a Community Equivalent (40 hours)
All courses are available in English, Spanish, and Somali.

COHORT ASSIGNMENT: An email with your virtual classroom assignment will be sent to approved applicants.
